Developing ecologically-grounded, employee-owned, community-rooted companies.
Critical Path Capital invests in growth stage small and midsized companies—with a particular focus on Energy, Buildings, Mobility, Soils, and Circular—to build their effectiveness, impact, and value, and broadly share that value with those that contribute to it.
Our initial focus:
HVAC, heat pumps, and electrification acquisitions.
We will accelerate the development and growth of sustainable/regenerative/restorative enterprise—both the innovators and the providers of the picks and shovels of the next economy—and enable employees and investors to benefit from a unique business approach designed for leverage and scale.
A seasoned team of pioneers and innovators—experienced in uncovering and generating value in wide range of industries—who are committed to business in service of life and to employees as a key asset, not a cost.
Critical Path Capital is focusing on acquiring HVAC and electrification contractors in Northern California and the Pacific Northwest (potentially expanding to other regions in the future).
Prospects will have revenue exceeding $15m/year, a solid or growing heat pump and/or electrification practice, a strong team and reputation, and a desire for growth and impact. (We may consider smaller firms under particular circumstances.)
We will bring growth capital, our history of building value and beneficial impact, and our commitment to share value with those who contribute to value creation.
We are joined in the search by our capital partners, The Builders Fund, which shares our commitment to having a meaningful impact on large social and environmental challenges.
